glitr is a love letter to the old internet — back when your profile was yours, your Top 8 was a statement, and every page loaded with a song you swore was the best thing ever recorded.

This is a small, non-commercial tribute to the mid-2000s social web. It's built by people who miss when the internet felt handmade: glitter text, cramped tables, a background you picked yourself, and a friend named Tom who was already waiting when you signed up.

We're not trying to be the next anything. There's no algorithm deciding what you see, no ads, no data broker in the back room. Just profiles, friends, comments, and bulletins — the way it used to be.

• Yesterdays social. Profiles, friends, a Top 8, comments, and bulletins — the features that made the old web feel personal, without the parts that made the new web exhausting.
• Break free from the feed. No algorithm here — we're so old we never installed one. Feeds are chronological, nothing is ranked or boosted, and nothing is engineered to keep you scrolling. You see what your friends post, in the order they posted it. That's it.
• No ads, no trackers, no data brokers. We're not selling you or your attention. There's nothing to sell here — this is a hobby, not a business.
• A profile that's actually yours. Pick your song, set your vibe, build your Top 8. Your page, your call.

Anything you post — your profile, comments, bulletins — can be seen by others, and we can see it too. We're a real service run by real people who read what gets flagged, respond to legal requests, and keep the place livable.
